A campaign starts with keywords and ends with analytics. In between that, the main content can manifest as several different pieces: a series of banner ads, print ads, a landing page, promotional emails, Facebook posts, etc. All of the parts need to work together, and be tracked effectively. There are a few ways to do this, from tracking pixels, to trackable links, to analytics and goal completions. It just depends on the needs of the campaign and client.
